Day 01: Yerevan

Welcome to Yerevan! Upon arrival, immerse yourself in Armenian culture as your day begins with a visit to notable destinations, including the center of the city, the Cascade, and Republic Square, all of which provide a fascinating blend of history and modernity. Then, at night, enjoy a welcome dinner in a traditional restaurant while basking in a folk show.

Day 02: Edjmiatzin - Garni - Geghard - Yerevan

The journey begins with a morning drive to Edjmiatzin, the religious center of all Armenians around the world. On this very special excursion, visit Edjmiatzin Cathedral, a UNESCO site that was built in 303–310 AD. Here, see an important religious relic the cathedral keeps - the Holy Lance spear. Then, visit the ruins of Zvartnots Temple, built in the 7th century and declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site, which was a miracle of its time.

Afterwards, head on with a 1-hour drive to the Canyon of the Azat River towards Geghard Monastery, another UNESCO World Cultural Heritage site. Upon arrival, take your time to marvel at this one-of-a-kind structure carved into the rocks that illustrates the very peak of Armenian medieval architecture. Then, the adventure will continue on to Garni, the only standing Greco-Roman ancient fortress built in the 3rd century BC and a pagan temple from the 1st century AD dedicated to the god of the sun. Here, enjoy the opportunity to see a demonstration of Armenian national bread lavash baking.

Day 03: Khor Virap - Noravank - Goris

The day begins as you drive to Ararat Province, where one of the holiest sites in Armenia stands. Upon arrival, hike up a small valley to explore the astonishing Khor Virap Monastery, a holy place where Gregory the Illuminator, the founder of the Armenian Apostolic Church, had been imprisoned. Following that, you will head next through a narrow canyon to the valley of red rocks where the Noravank Monastery, a 13th-century Armenian monastery, is located. Perched majestically on a high mountain, take in the panoramic view while at the top of the mountain.

After a full day of sightseeing, end the day’s adventure in Goris town for an overnight stay.

Day 04: Tatev - Selim Pass - Hayravank - Sevan - Dilijan

The day is dedicated to exploring and marveling at the monastery and university of Tatev, the crown jewel of Armenian medieval architecture. Here, take a once-in-a-lifetime ride on the world's longest cable car, which spans 5.7 kilometers across the 320-meter-deep Vorotan River Canyon. After the thrilling ride, continue to Selim Pass, which was a section of the Great Silk Road. Take a quick stop at the 14th-century Selim Caravanserai, one of the most well-preserved hostels along the ancient Great Silk Road, before continuing on to Gegharkunik Province, best known for the amazing Lake Sevan, one of the highest freshwater lakes in the world, located at an altitude of 1900 meters above sea level. Upon arrival, explore the beauty of Hayravank Monastery.

The journey continues north to Tavush Province, stopping in Dilijan, a cozy resort town known for its arts and crafts as well as its scenic, lush nature and healing air. This is where you will spend the night.

Day 05: Dilijan - Tbilisi

In the morning, you have the opportunity to walk in the old part of Dilijan and soak in its authentic atmosphere. Then, stop by the Haghartsin and Goshavank monasteries, both of which are on the UNESCO World Heritage List, to give even more depth and significance to the journey. Afterward, keep on driving until you reach the Armenian-Georgian border. Our local guide will be waiting for you at the airport to take you on an incredible experience of the beautiful city of Tbilisi. Upon arrival, head on to the Assumption Church, located on a hill near Metekhi's old neighborhood, that is well worth a visit. Then, take the cable car up to the hilltop Narikala Fortress, where you can take in a breathtaking panorama of the city below. The next stop is the sulfuric baths, a well-known royal spa complex built in the seventeenth and nineteenth centuries over naturally warm sulfur springs.

The journey then proceeds to the Juma Mosque on Botanical Street and then to Sioni Church, where you may see the cross of St. Patriarchate, one of Georgia's most revered relics. Enjoy a fulfilling dinner at a traditional Georgian restaurant accompanied by a traditional Georgian show to cap off the day's experience.

Day 06: Ananuri - Gudauri - Tbilisi

After breakfast at the hotel, enjoy a drive to Ananuri Fortress, a well-preserved castle on the shore of the Zhinvali Reservoir and the former defensive fortress of the feudal era. Then, continue the excursion to Gudauri, a popular ski resort that is beautiful in any season. Here, you will see the Balcony dedicated to the Treaty of Georgievsk and enjoy the amazing views of the mountains that open from here. Then, a quick drive will take you to the waters of Vedza. Enjoy its sour waters as you marvel at its picturesque scenes. Afterward, continue on to visit the Trinity Church (Gergeti), situated at an altitude of 2170 meters at the foot of Mount Kazbek. The church was built in the 14th century and is the only cross-domed church in the historic Georgian province of Khevi. From the top of the hill, you can take in the incredibly beautiful scenery as it unfolds right before your eyes.

Day 07: Mtskheta - Jvari - Château Mukhrani - Kutaisi

After breakfast, you will have a short ride to Mtskheta, which was the first capital of Georgia from the 3rd century BC to the 5th century AD. The town is considered the religious center of Georgia. Here, enjoy a climb up the hill to the Jvari Monastery, the amazing symbol of Georgian church architecture. According to the legend, at the site of the monastery, St. Nino established one of her three crosses. The excursion continues to Svetitskhoveli Cathedral, the first and main church in Georgia.

Day 08: Sighnaghi

Today, take a leisurely stroll around Sighnaghi, often known as "the town of love" for its beautiful examples of classical architecture from southern Italy. Sighnaghi, a town in Georgia, has lately undergone extensive restoration and infrastructure enhancement, and as a result, it has become one of the country's most popular tourist destinations. Then proceed to Bodbe monastery, a cathedral built in the fourth century AD on the tomb of St. Nino, who brought Christianity to Georgia. One of the biggest shrines in the monastery is a miraculous icon of Mother Mary of Iveria. Then, enjoy the free time exploring Sighnaghi at your own leisure.

Day 09: Sighnaghi

This day marks the end of your beautiful experience in Georgia and Armenia. After breakfast, you will be transferred to the airport for your flight back home.
