Day 1: Arusha
Welcome to Tanzania. Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro Airport, meet your local guide and transfer to your lodge in Arusha, the gateway to East Africa’s grandest adventures. Take your time to rest and prepare for the thrilling days ahead.
Day 2: Arusha – Ngorongoro
After breakfast, drive to Ngorongoro and check in at your lodge perched along the crater rim. If time allows, enjoy your first game drive, where elephants, zebras, and baboons roam freely across the highlands. Enjoy dinner and spend the rest of the night at the lodge.
Day 3: Ngorongoro Crater Safari
Descend into the Ngorongoro Crater for a full-day safari, one of the most biodiverse habitats on Earth. Watch for the famed Big Five amid sweeping grasslands and acacia forests. As the sun dips below the crater’s edge, return to the lodge for an evening of Tanzanian flavors and serenity.
Day 4: Ngorongoro – Serengeti National Park
After indulging in breakfast, travel to the legendary Serengeti, a landscape defined by vast horizons and thriving wildlife. Settle into your luxury camp, then head out for an afternoon game drive before ending the day with dinner under the African sky.
Day 5: Serengeti National Park
Rise before dawn for a once-in-a-lifetime experience: a hot air balloon safari floating over the Serengeti plains as the sun rises! Watch herds of wildebeest and elephants below. Spend the rest of the day on game drives, then unwind with dinner beneath a canopy of stars.
Day 6: Serengeti National Park
Choose your pace today: set out early for a picnic safari or enjoy a leisurely breakfast before an afternoon drive. Relish your final day surrounded by the sounds of the wild.
Day 7: Serengeti National Park – Zanzibar
After breakfast, take a scenic flight to Zanzibar. Upon arrival, transfer to your beach resort and spend the rest of the day soaking in the island’s serenity: white sand, turquoise waters, and warm coastal air.
Day 8: Zanzibar
Begin the morning with a guided visit through Stone Town, a UNESCO World Heritage site steeped in history and Swahili charm. Spend the afternoon at leisure by the beach, watching the sky turn gold over the Indian Ocean.
Day 9: Zanzibar
A full day at leisure is for you to enjoy resort activities, water sports, or simply rest by the sea, a fitting finale to your African adventure.
Day 10: Tanzania
Today marks the end of your wonderful experience in Tanzania. After breakfast, prepare for your transport to the airport for your flight back home.

Access Travel will do its best to upgrade travelers to a private tour. However, rates for the private tour are not guaranteed to be the same as the original trip rates.
