Day 01: Cairo
Welcome to Egypt! Meet and welcome your local guide upon arrival, who will take you through historic Old Cairo: Abu Serga Church (a resting place of the Holy Family), Ben Ezra Synagogue (one of Cairo's oldest), and the magnificent Hanging Church dedicated to the Virgin Mary.
Day 02: Cairo
Visit the three Great Pyramids of Giza and the legendary Sphinx, with an optional camel ride. Continue to the Egyptian Museum, home to 165,000 antiquities including the treasures of Tutankhamun, royal jewelry, and ancient mummies.
Day 03: Cairo - Luxor
Fly to Luxor, the world's largest open-air museum. Explore the 3,000-year-old Karnak Temple complex with its vast Hypostyle Hall and Avenue of Sphinxes, then visit Luxor Temple, adorned by both Tutankhamun and Alexander the Great.
Day 04: Luxor - Edfu
Fly to Luxor, the world's largest open-air museum. Explore the 3,000-year-old Karnak Temple complex with its vast Hypostyle Hall and Avenue of Sphinxes, then visit Luxor Temple, adorned by both Tutankhamun and Alexander the Great.
Day 05: Edfu - Komombo
Visit Edfu Temple dedicated to Horus and considered Egypt's most complete and best-preserved ancient temple, built between 237 and 57 BC. Continue to the unique double-temple of Kom Ombo before settling in for the night.
Day 06: Komombo - Aswan
Discover three of Aswan's iconic sites: the engineering marvel of the High Dam with views over Lake Nasser, the ancient Unfinished Obelisk still embedded in its quarry, and the beautiful Philae Temple, famously relocated to save it from rising Nile waters.
Day 07: Aswan
Sail the Nile on a traditional felucca, then visit Kitchener's Island, a lush botanical garden filled with rare palms and exotic plants from Africa, India, and the Far East. Enjoy a local Egyptian meal before a free afternoon to explore the city.
Day 08: Aswan - Cairo
After breakfast, transfer to the airport for your flight back to Cairo and onward journey home.
