Few destinations in the world are left intact with lush natural resources, and Iceland, blessedly, is one of these. Revel in the countless jaw-dropping and stunning landscapes, mountains, and beaches of the rugged, remote, and otherworldly land of Iceland. While it's a road less traveled, this one-of-a-kind destination presents breathtaking views at every turn, as well as a variety of unique experiences to explore and enjoy, such as chasing the northern lights, crossing glacial lakes, and walking beneath towering waterfalls. A journey down the road less traveled awaits.
Welcome to Iceland, the land of fire and ice! Upon arrival, make your way to the hotel where you'll be staying for the night.
For travelers who will arrive early at the destination, there is an opportunity for you to enjoy Sky Lagoon!
The day begins as we explore more of the west of Iceland and drive to Snaefellsnes to see one of the top destinations in Iceland, the Black Church. This charming black church is one of Iceland's most photographed buildings. Afterwards, we will make a memorable stop at the breathtaking Kirkjufell Mountain, one of the most beautiful mountains in the world. Following that is a visit to Arnarstapi, a small fishing village, to enjoy its laid-back lifestyle and soak up its natural beauty. A trip to Iceland isn't complete without stopping for a traditional lunch at one of the many cozy restaurants here.
Then, at night, we will watch the sky and wait for the graceful Aurora Borealis to make her appearance.
Today's biggest adventure begins in the south of Iceland, where we will see signs of some of Iceland's most famous waterfalls, including Seljalandsfoss and Skógafoss, and some black sand beaches along the way. During our drive, take in the scenery of mountains and waterfalls, and possibly experience rain, sun, and a lot of wind all throughout. Then, we will stop near Skógafoss to enjoy some hot soup and an authentic Icelandic meal to replenish.
At night, capping off the whole day, we wait once again for the Aurora Borealis, and we will do so every single night together.
Experience an amazing up-close meeting of the glaciers as we take a lagoon boat ride. On this adventure, witness the grandeur of Icelandic landscapes as we sail among the huge icebergs and picturesque ice caves. Then, we will also take a tour of the famous ice beach on the black sand.
After the morning excursion, we will have the entire day to explore the vicinity at our leisure.
We are leaving the south of Iceland today and driving to the east, where we will see fjords, mountains, and a variety of bodies of water. We will keep driving away from civilization so that we can get a more real and in-depth look at this land of fire and ice. Upon arrival, you are free to do as you please. Explore the charming fishing village where we will spend the night at your own leisure.
Making our way towards the north of Iceland begins our day's excursion. On this adventure, explore the unspoiled landscapes and take in the pristine sights of Dimmuborgir lava formations, Krafla volcano, Mývatn geothermal area, and a few of the locations used in the filming of Game of Thrones. Then, as night falls, we'll keep looking for the Aurora Borealis to capture some truly breathtaking images of this mystical phenomenon.
This day is filled with unique experiences as we explore Husavik, the Whale Capital of Iceland. Here, witness dolphins, minke, humpbacks, and even blue whales play in the vastness of blue waters for a once-in-a-lifetime whale-watching experience! Now, while this is an exciting and enjoyable activity for everyone, it is always recommended to take medication if you are prone to seasickness.
After that, spend the rest of the day at your leisure. Then, at night, we'll catch the northern lights again and bask in their splendor before calling it a night.
We'll be taking a long route back to the capital, but there will be plenty of opportunities to stop and shop at Icelandic gas stations, meet Icelandic horses, and explore other hidden gems along the way. Then, upon arrival in the evening, spend some time wandering the shops and restaurants of the city on your own.
We will start our day early and take a visit to the Golden Circle, which houses the three stunningly beautiful locations of rare geological features: Thingvellir National Park, Geysir, and Gullfoss.
Following that, there will be plenty of time for you to enjoy the much-anticipated Blue Lagoon experience. On this journey, rejuvenate and refresh through its healing waters for an unforgettable experience!
Then, to cap off the fulfilling day, there will be an optional group dinner here before saying our goodbyes after a memorable Icelandic expedition.
This day marks the end of our wonderful Iceland expedition. Depart from the hotel and drive to the airport, then take a flight home after an unforgettable excursion.
Thank you for organising the start of our honeymoon trip, Rose.
Iceland was magical and we had an amazing time.
Gave this trip to mom as a gift & glad I've chosen Access.
Angely curated the itinerary well, even a senior citizen like mom was able to enjoy. Received so much blessing on this trip aside from good health to enjoy the sceneries, lady aurora showed up not just once but 4x. Did I get the counting right Angely? On top of that, we were truly blessed to have travel mates who treated us like family; money can't buy u that especially the cherished memories.
