Day 01: Madrid
Welcome to Spain! Meet your local guide on arrival and transfer to your hotel for check-in.
Day 02: Madrid
Experience Madrid's centuries of history with guided visits to the medieval Moorish quarter, the Habsburg and Bourbon districts, the Royal Palace, Puerta del Sol, Plaza Mayor, the Prado Museum, Gran Vía, and modern landmarks like Las Ventas Bullring and the Santiago Bernabéu. Free time in the afternoon, with a complimentary drink at Hard Rock Cafe.
Day 03: Spain - Trujillo - Lisbom
Bus west through the Extremadura region with a stop at Trujillo, a beautifully preserved town tied to the discovery of the New World, then continue through the Alentejo plains via Elvas and Estremoz into Lisbon. There is an optional night tour to attend a show of Fado, a typical Portuguese song and music.
Day 04: Lisbon
Enjoy Lisbon's finest with stops at Belém Tower, Jerónimos Monastery, Coach Museum, and the Monument to the Discoverers. Spend the afternoon wandering the labyrinthine streets of the Alfama Quarter, with its castle views, vibrant tabernas, and soulful Fado melodies.
Day 05: Lisbon - Alcobaça - Batalha - Fátima
Visit the 12th-century Alcobaça Monastery, then continue to Batalha's UNESCO-listed monastery, a stunning Gothic and Manueline masterpiece. End the day at Fátima, one of the world's most important Catholic pilgrimage sites, home to the Basilica and Cova da Iria where the Virgin Mary appeared.
Day 06: Fátima - Óbidos - Nazaré - Lisbon
Stroll the picturesque streets of Óbidos, one of Portugal's best-preserved medieval walled towns, then visit the charming Atlantic fishing village of Nazaré. Return to Lisbon through the colourful farming countryside.
Day 07: Lisbon - Caceres - Madrid
Stop in Cáceres, a UNESCO World Heritage city where Roman, Islamic, Gothic, and Renaissance architecture coexist, and explore its Plaza Mayor and Medieval Quarter. Continue on to Madrid for a final overnight stay.
Day 08: Madrid
After breakfast, enjoy some free time before your transfer to the airport for your flight home.
