Here, discover the three remaining monuments: the Obelisk of Theodosius, the bronze Serpentine Column, and the Column of Constantine. After that, head on to the Blue Mosque to see its grandeur and its harmonious cascade of cupolas and six minarets, which make it worthy of being one of the most majestic and elegant mosques in Istanbul. Then, go to the Mosque of St. Sophia. With its huge dome and well-preserved Byzantine mosaics, it is without a doubt one of the best examples of Byzantine architecture.
The morning is yours to explore on your own or to simply rest. Then, in the afternoon, prepare for your domestic flight to Kayseri. Upon arrival, proceed to transfer to your hotel in Cappadocia to check-in and stay for the night.
Get ready for a full-day adventure exploring the amazing world of Cappadocia! After breakfast, discover the underground city of Ozkonak, used by the Christians of the 7th century as a refuge from the Roman persecutions. Here, you will also see the rock-carved churches in Göreme, troglodyte villages, and fairy chimneys at Urgup, Avcilar, and Uchisar. Then, enjoy an authentic Turkish lunch at a local restaurant. There will be time for you to explore the city on your own before heading back to the hotel.
