Day 1: Hakodate
Welcome to Hakodate! Upon arrival, begin your journey with a visit to Goryokaku Tower, where panoramic views reveal the star-shaped fortress below. Explore the Kanemori Red Brick Warehouse, now home to boutiques and cafés. Stop for photos at the scenic Hachiman Zaka Slope, then ascend Mt. Hakodate Ropeway for a breathtaking night view, one of Japan’s most celebrated cityscapes.
Day 2: Hakodate – Noboribetsu
After breakfast, journey toward Noboribetsu, a town famed for its hot springs and Edo-period charm. Step back in time at Date Jidaimura, a historical theme village that recreates the samurai era, then witness nature’s power at Jigokudani (Hell Valley), where sulfurous steam rises dramatically from volcanic vents.
Day 3: Noboribetsu – Toya – Sapporo
Make your way to Lake Toya, one of Hokkaido’s most scenic lakes. Stop at Silo Observatory Deck for sweeping views of the caldera and its calm waters before heading to Rusutsu Ski Resort. Continue to Sapporo, the lively heart of Hokkaido, for your evening stay.
Day 4: Sapporo – Asahikawa – Sapporo
Today, venture north to Asahikawa. Visit Otokoyama Sake Brewery to learn about the art of Japanese sake-making, followed by a trip to the renowned Asahiyama Zoo, home to playful penguins and snow-loving wildlife. Return to Sapporo for a delightful Seafood Nanda Buffet Dinner, a local favorite known for its fresh crab and grilled seafood.
Day 5: Sapporo
Enjoy a free day to explore Sapporo at your pace. Feel free to stroll through Odori Park, visit the Sapporo Snow Festival sites, or indulge in local specialties like miso ramen and Hokkaido soft serve.
Day 6: Sapporo
After breakfast, prepare for your transfer to the airport for your flight back home after a magical winter in Japan.

Should the minimum requirement for the Access Journey not be met, our upcoming trip will proceed with the current number of participants. Access Travel will do its best to upgrade travelers to a private tour. However, rates for the private tour are not guaranteed to be the same as the original trip rates.
