Day 1: Delhi
Welcome to India. Meet your local guide and transfer to your hotel in Delhi, a city of history and modernity. Settle in, have dinner and rest after your flight.
Day 2: Old Delhi – New Delhi
Dive into the sites of Old Delhi: the vibrant lanes of Chandni Chowk, the grandeur of Red Fort, and the serenity of Jama Masjid. Cross into New Delhi next to see India Gate, Humayun’s Tomb, and Qutub Minar. At night, enjoy an authentic Indian dinner before heading back to your hotel.
Day 3: Delhi – Agra
Travel to Agra, city of Mughal elegance. Visit Itmad-ud-Daulah, the “Baby Taj,” and enjoy a quiet view of the Taj Mahal from Mehtab Bagh as the sun fades over the Yamuna River.
Day 4: Agra
Rise early to witness the Taj Mahal at sunrise with its marble shifting from soft gold to pure white. Later, explore the Agra Fort and wander through bustling markets filled with crafts and local Indian flavors.
Day 5: Agra – Jaipur
Drive to Jaipur, stopping at Fatehpur Sikri, a beautifully preserved red sandstone city abandoned centuries ago. Arrive in the “Pink City” and unwind at your hotel.
Day 6: Jaipur
Explore the grand Amer Fort, perched high on a hillside. Continue to the City Palace, Jantar Mantar, and the famous Palace of Winds (Hawa Mahal). Discover why Jaipur remains the heart of Rajasthan’s artistry and royal heritage.
Day 7: Jaipur
Spend the morning in Jaipur’s colorful bazaars, filled with jewelry, textiles, and handcrafted souvenirs. The rest of the day is yours. Take this time to relax or explore at your pace.
Day 8: Jaipur – Delhi – Colombo
Return to Delhi and board your flight to Sri Lanka. Upon arrival in Colombo, transfer to Negombo, a charming coastal town. Enjoy dinner and a peaceful evening by the sea.
Day 9: Negombo – Sigiriya
Drive inland to Sigiriya, where a climb up the Lion Rock Fortress reveals ancient frescoes and amazing views. This UNESCO-listed wonder rises dramatically from the jungle, one of Sri Lanka’s most breathtaking landmarks.
Day 10: Sigiriya – Kandy
En route to Kandy, stop at the Dambulla Cave Temple, filled with statues and murals of Buddha. Visit a spice garden to learn about cinnamon, cardamom, and nutmeg before continuing to the Temple of the Tooth Relic, one of Buddhism’s most sacred sites. End the evening with a traditional dance performance and dinner.
Day 11: Kandy – Nuwara Eliya
Head into Sri Lanka’s lush highlands, where tea plantations stretch as far as the eye can see. Visit a working tea factory to learn how the island’s famous Ceylon tea is crafted, then explore Nuwara Eliya, a cool mountain town known for its colonial charm and gardens.
Day 12: Nuwara Eliya – Bentota
Descend from the hills to Bentota, a coastal haven. Cruise along the Maadu River, watch for waterbirds among the mangroves, and visit a turtle hatchery that protects endangered species before checking in at your beach resort.
Day 13: Bentota
A full day to relax by the Indian Ocean. Swim, sunbathe, or simply listen to the waves. You may also join optional excursions or enjoy the spa and leisure amenities at your resort.
Day 14: Bentota – Colombo
Drive back to Colombo, Sri Lanka’s energetic capital. Explore landmarks such as Gangaramaya Temple, Independence Square, and Galle Face Green, where city life is at the sea. Enjoy shopping and a farewell dinner to close your adventure.
Day 15: Colombo
Following breakfast, prepare for your airport transfer. As you board your flight back home, this marks the end of your journey in India and Sri Lanka.
